Decoder inputs never leave your browser
The Final-Paycheck Decoder is the load-bearing tool on this Site, and it is built to respect your privacy. Every input you provide — your state of separation, your termination type, your separation date, your hourly rate, and your good-faith-dispute answer — is processed entirely client-side in your browser. Nothing is POSTed to our servers. Nothing is logged. Nothing is shared with third parties.
This is a deliberate design choice: state of separation, hourly rate, and willful-failure context can all be sensitive in a wage dispute. We do not want a record of those inputs to exist anywhere we cannot guarantee security.
What we do collect
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site usage (page views, broad geographic distribution at country level, broad device categories, broad referrer category). This tells us which pages are reaching workers and which states are most-searched, so we can prioritize verification work.
We use Consent Mode v2 with default-grant for analytics_storage and default-deny for ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization. You can decline analytics via the cookie banner; the "Cookie settings" link in the footer reopens it.
Cookies
- Necessary: A single localStorage key (
wtm-cookie-consent) records your accept/decline choice for the cookie banner. No tracking. - Analytics (default-granted): Google Analytics 4 cookies (
_ga,_ga_*). IP-anonymized. - Advertising (default-denied): No advertising cookies are set unless you explicitly opt in via the cookie banner.
Outbound links
Some outbound links on this Site may direct to third-party referral partners that collect their own data. Government links (DOL Wage & Hour Division, state DOL claim portals) collect their own analytics under their own privacy policies. We do not control how third-party sites handle your data once you click through.
Operator
The Site is operated by Desymphony EOOD, a Bulgarian limited liability company. As an EU (Bulgaria) operator providing services to US users, we follow the GDPR baseline by default, plus US state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, Utah UCPA) as applicable.
Your rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal data we hold about you, and to opt out of sale/sharing for targeted advertising. Because we do not collect personal information beyond aggregate analytics, most rights requests resolve to confirmation that we hold no record of you. Email [email protected] to make a request.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
